The Attorney General's Office Names 2 New Pertamina Corruption Suspects

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has named two new suspects in the alleged corruption case in crude oil management and refinery products at PT Pertamina Subholding and Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) in 2018-2023.

The Director of Investigation at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the AGO, Abdul Qohar, explained that the two suspects were Maya Kusmaya as Director of Central and Niaga Marketing of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga and Edward Corne as VP Trading Operations of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga.

"After a marathon examination, starting at 15.00 WIB until now, investigators have found sufficient evidence that the two suspects are suspected of committing a criminal act together with the seven suspects who were submitted yesterday," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 26.

He revealed that both of them were actually summoned properly as witnesses at 10.00 WIB. However, both of them did not answer the call so they were forced to pick them up.

"However, until 14.00 WIB, the person concerned was not present, so we were forced to pick up the person concerned at the office concerned," he said.

Setelah ditetapkan sebagai tersangka, keduanya akan menjalani penahan di Rutan Salemba Branch Kejaksaan Agung selama 20 hari ke depan sejak Rabu, 26 Februari, guna kepentingan pemeriksaan.

With the appointment of two new suspects, the number of suspects in this case is nine people.

Previously, investigators named seven suspects, namely Riva Siahaan (RS) as President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sani Dinar Saifuddin (SDS) as Director of Feedstock and Product Optimization of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, and Yoki Firnandi (YF) as PT Pertamina International Shipping.

The other suspect is Agus Purwono (AP) as VP Feedstock Management of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, Muhammad Kerry Andrianto Riza (MKAR) as the beneficial owner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa, Dimas Werhaspati (DW) as Commissioner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa and Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritim, and Gading Ramadhan Joedo (GRJ) as Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritim and President Director of PT Orbit Terminal Merak.
