Mother's Son In Semarang Gegara Was Not Given Money To Buy Alcohol Was Arrested

The Semarang Polrestabes arrested IG (36), suspected of killing his biological mother, Salamah (62), for not being given money to buy liquor (alcohol).

Semarang Police Chief Kombes Pol. M. Syahduddi said the IG suspect was arrested after about five days of hiding after committing the crime.

"The perpetrator hid in an empty house about 2 km from the scene," he said in Semarang, Wednesday, February 26, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the perpetrator is unemployed and often asks his mother for pocket money.

The murder incident itself occurred on February 18, 2025.

The perpetrator was allegedly hurt when he asked his mother for money because he was compared to his siblings.

"The perpetrators are often angry if the request is not complied with," he said.

The victim Salamah was found by her neighbor covered in blood at her house.

From the autopsy results, he continued, the victim was reported to have died from stab wounds to the chest and back.

"The stab wounds in the chest penetrated into the lungs," he added.

As a result of his actions, the suspect IG, a resident of Gunungsari Street, Candisari, Semarang City, was charged with Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning domestic violence and Article 340 of the Criminal Code regarding murder.
