PAN Hopes Danantara Not Only Targets Industry But Also MSMEs

Deputy Chairperson of PAN Saleh Partaonan Daulay stated that his party supports Daya Anagata Nusantara (Dantara) as the manager of national investment. In the context of benefit, Saleh hopes that Danantara will not only pay attention to large industries but also MSMEs and small economies.

According to Saleh, at certain times, MSMEs and the creative economy must be a part that is in demand and taken seriously. The large capital managed by Danantara, he said, should have a significant impact on the small and medium economy.

"In the beginning, I heard that Danantara was still directed to manage big works. That's certainly fine. But after that, MSMEs and small economies slowly need to be touched. That way, the presence of Danantara can be felt more widely by the community," Saleh told reporters, Wednesday, February 26.

The chairman of Commission VII DPR RI also hopes that Danantara can bring 'fresh air' to the management of state funds and assets. In the end, said Saleh, these assets can be fully utilized for the welfare of the people.

"Although there are many elements that do, PAN does not really want to debate about this Danantara. We are sure that the formation of this institution is based on in-depth considerations and studies. President Prabowo must have calculated all related aspects," he said.

However, Saleh emphasized that the Danantara must be managed professionally. People who work, he said, must have backgrounds that do understand investment. In addition, they are people who have integrity and are open to receiving input from all parties.

"These Danantara managers are ordinary people too. Because of that there must be shortcomings here and there. Therefore, if you are given input, you should be happy and try to learn and adapt," said Saleh.

"Of course not all inputs are relevant. At the very least, accepting input is part of humility which is an important feature for progressive self," concluded the North Sumatra electoral district legislator.
