PAN Questions The Constitutional Court's Decision On Cancellation Of The Victory Of Ratu-Najib In The Serang Regional Head Election

The decision canceled the victory of the wife of the Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Yandri Susanto, Ratu Rachmatu Zakiyah-Najib Hamas, who was promoted by PAN after previously being declared the winner by the KPU.

Saleh said, in principle PAN respects the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the 2024 Serang Regency Pilkada. According to him, PAN is always committed to supporting democracy and law enforcement.

"Although it is honest that PAN considers the decision to be a bit strange and there are many things that need to be questioned," Saleh told reporters, Tuesday, February 25.

Saleh assessed that the decision did not meet the requirements to be called a structured, Systematic, and Massive violation. In addition, according to him, the applicants also do not have strong evidence to support their lawsuit.

"Try reading the election law again. What TSM means in the law, does not occur in the Serang regional election," said Saleh.

"The witnesses and organizers who were presented at the trial clearly said that the regional elections in Serang Regency had been carried out in accordance with the provisions of the law," continued the Chairman of Commission VII DPR.

Nevertheless, Saleh continued, PAN accepted the Constitutional Court's decision on the basis of awareness and obedience to the law. While trying again to win the Queen-Najib pair in the re-Pilkada later.

"PAN akan menggerakkan lagi tim yang ada untuk memenangkan pasangan Ibu Ratu dan Pak Najib. Tim yang dibentuk kemarin masih ada dan masih aktif. Semuanya tinggal menunggu arahan dari pimpinan dan partai. Begitu digerakkan, semuanya akan bekerja keras dan lebih semangat lagi," tegas Saleh.

"People are now smart and wise. Understand which ones really want to fight and sacrifice for the community," said Saleh.

"But we still pray, if we win later, don't be sued again. We are a party that is ready to fight fairly and fairly. We have proven that yesterday in the last Serang election," he concluded.
