Fake Skincare Boss With Billions Of Rupiah Only Graduates From High School, Selling At Tokopedia

JAKARTA - Two fake and illegal skincare entrepreneurs with the initials MS (35) and R (37) who were arrested by the South Jakarta Metro Police, turned out to be only high school graduates (SMA) without having expertise in the field of pharmaceuticals or medical personnel.

The impact of skincare products branded HN 15 and HN 30 which are sold by the two suspects can cause irritation of the skin and other skin diseases.

"For the impact, there is a bit redish and itchy," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Indra Darmawan to reporters, Monday, February 24.

Although they do not have special skills in the field of cosmetics and beauty or health, the two suspects are desperate to fake skincare because they are tempted by enormous profits.

"He used to have experience working with his boss, more or less the model was re-packing. After not joining his boss, he worked alone. So he is not a medical worker or expert who has the ability in the pharmaceutical field," he said.

Skincare products sold by suspects are HN 15 and HN 30. The suspect sells without language instructions, without the label of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) and content.

Meanwhile, regarding the influencers involved in advertising promotions from fake skincare products belonging to the two suspects, the police are still investigating.

"The results of our investigation and investigation, the person concerned is indeed working individually. They use individual accounts, not yet affiliated with public figures or influencers," he said.

"So it takes individuals, accounts, and no advertisers yet," he added.

Previously, it was reported that the South Jakarta Metro Police revealed a criminal act of alleged violation of consumer protection using the reporting mode of buying cosmetics that allegedly did not have language instructions, BPOM labels and ingredients.

The Head of Crime Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Indra Darmawan, said that the disclosure of this case began with the victim's report to the South Jakarta Metro Police.

This incident occurred starting with a public report number LPB/254/I/2025/SPKT/South Jakarta Metro Police/Polda Metro Jaya dated January 21, 2025.

The incident occurred on Jalan Kemang Utara RT 13/01, Bangka Village, Mampang Prapatan District, South Jakarta.

Based on the report, the South Jakarta Metro Police carried out an investigation regarding the alleged cosmetics purchased from the Tokopedia account at the HN Ori Official Crime Store with TKP01/9631XFN0 retion which was suspected of being unlicensed.
