TANJUNG SELOR - Head of the Cipta Karya Division (Kabid) of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas (DPUPR Perkim) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara), Ayub Reydon Lumban Tobing underwent an examination at the Kaltara High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati).
He was questioned regarding the investigation into alleged corruption in the construction of the Kaltara Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) building on Jalan Rajawali Tanjung Selor, Bulungan.
To reporters, Reydon said the construction of the Kaltara BPSDM building was carried out in three stages.
"The first phase in 2021 is allocated a budget of around Rp. 4 billion, the second stage is around Rp. 9 billion and the third stage is 2023 Rp. 500 million," Reydon said before meeting with investigators from the Kaltram Attorney General's Office Monday, February 24.
"Initially the construction budget ceiling was Rp. 16 billion because the plan was to build two floors. But because the budget was cut," he continued.
In addition, the building has not been handed over to the BPSDM. This is because maintenance is still needed and is still being maintained by the implementing party, namely CV. Navaro Anugrah Sejahtera.
"According to the report from the implementing of the activity, the construction of the building is in accordance with the specifications," said Reydon.
He emphasized that in the first stage of development, it was not him who was responsible for land clearing work but the previous Head of Cipta Karya officials.
"Maybe when the construction was carried out, the landslide was not dense and was in the swamp. So in the second stage during physical development, a lot of damage was found," he explained.
Meanwhile, Assistant for Intelligence (Asintel) of the North Kalimantan Attorney General's Office, Semeru, said that a week after a search was carried out by the office of the PUPR Perkim Office of Kaltara Province, investigators from the Kaltara Attorney General's Office had examined a number of witnesses.
"Currently, investigators are still examining witnesses so that no suspect has been determined," he said.
After the filing is complete and there is a suspect determination, then a judicial process will be carried out at the Samarinda Tipidkor Court.
"Investigators have also asked BPKP and BPK to conduct an audit, calculate how much the state lost in the construction of the Kaltara BPSDM training building," he concluded.
Previously, investigators from the Kaltara Attorney General's Office had searched the North Kalimantan Perkim DPUPR office on Jalan Ajatish Tanjung Selor and the workshop used for storage by the DPUPR-Perkim in Tanjung Palas, Bulungan.
