Joseph Paul Zhang Fought Back And Was Shot Dead When He Was Arrested By The Police, It Is True?

JAKARTA - The suspect in the case of alleged religious hatred and blasphemy, Joseph Paul Zhang, was reportedly shot dead by the police during his arrest. This is the title of the Youtube Breaking the Boundary account which was uploaded on April 19.

The title of the 10 minutes and 3 second video is 'Once Against When To Be Catched Insulting the Prophet Finally Shot Dead,' and was uploaded on Monday, April 19.

"After tracing it, it turned out that the title was misleading. There was no statement saying that Jozeph had been shot dead in the video", wrote the turnbackhoax.id site quoted by VOI, Thursday, April 22.

The National Police has coordinated with the German Embassy in Jakarta and the German police attaché to trace the exact whereabouts of Jozeph Paul Zhang.

This case began when Jozeph Paul Zhang, through a discussion forum via Zoom, claimed to be the 26th prophet. This video is also shown on his personal Youtube channel.

The man opened a zoom discussion forum entitled 'Puasa Lalim Islam'. Jozeph Paul Zhang also challenges anyone who dares to report himself to the police regarding blasphemy by claiming to be the 26th prophet.

Currently, the police have issued a DPO (People Wanted List) in the name of Shindy Paul Soerjomoeljono aka Jozeph Paul Zheng.

"The National Police issued a DPO yesterday afternoon, April 19, 2021, which will be immediately sent to Interpol as a basis for immediately issuing a red notice", said Head of the Public Information and Relations Division, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan.

The DPO was sent to Interpol because based on police investigations, Paul Zhang is currently in Germany. That way the country where he lives will deport the man.

"The foreign Police cooperation mechanism can work, be it the country concerned, deportation only. The DPO will be issued later", said the Head of Criminal Investigation of the National Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto.

"So the claim regarding Jozeph Paul Zhang who was shot dead is a hoax with a misleading content category", wrote turnbackhoax.id.
