President Prabowo: The Indonesian People Should Be Proud, Danantara Is One Of The Biggest Wealths In The World

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto said the Danantara Indonesia Investment Management Agency (BPI) is one of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world.

"Today all Indonesian people should be proud because with total assets of more than 900 billion US dollars (around Rp. 14.79 quadrillion), Danantara Indonesia will become one of the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world," Prabowo said at the launch of BPI Danantara Indonesia at the Indonesian Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Antara, Monday, February 24.

In the first 100 days of his administration, Prabowo said that the government managed to secure more than IDR 300 trillion, or nearly 20 billion US dollars, in the form of state savings.

This fund was previously hampered by inefficiencies, corruption, and spending that were not on target. Now the funds will be allocated to be managed by Danantara Indonesia and invested in 20 or more national projects as part of industrialization and downstreaming.

These projects include downstreaming natural resources such as nickel, bauxite, and copper, construction of data centers, artificial intelligence, oil refineries, petrochemical factories, food and protein production, acculture, and the development of renewable energy.

"These are the sectors that will determine our future, our resilience, and the independence of our nation," said Prabowo.

The Head of State also appreciated all parties who have worked hard to realize the Indonesian Antara.

Prabowo said that Danantara Indonesia was a milestone in Indonesia's journey towards prosperity, resilience, and economic independence.

Before pressing the button, President Prabowo gave a speech and officially launched BPI Danantara.

"By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this afternoon, Monday, February 24, 2025, I am the President of the Republic of Indonesia launching the Anagata Nusantara Indonesia Power Investment Management Agency," said President Prabowo, who then continued to press the inauguration button.
