The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Has The Opportunity To Forcibly Pick Up Witnesses In The Corruption Case Of Bank Jepara Artha's BPR

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has the opportunity to forcibly pick up three witnesses in the corruption case of disbursing business loans of PT BPR Bank Jepara Artha who were absent on Friday, February 21. The three of them did not provide information to investigators.

"Investigators are considering presenting it through forced efforts in accordance with applicable regulations," KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika told reporters in a written statement quoted Monday, February 24.

The three witnesses who might have been forcibly picked up were Anwar Nur Hamzah, Sugiyanto, Listina Handayani, and Agus Setia Hermanto who are entrepreneurs. The examination should have been carried out at the Ditreskrimsus Polda DI Yogyakarta.

Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption related to disbursement of business loans at PT Bank Percreditan Rakyat Bank Jepara Artha (Perseroda) 2022-2024. The investigation was carried out since last September 24.

A total of five suspects from internal and private elements have been determined. They have the initials JH, IN, AN, AS, and MIA.

In this case, the mode of corruption used was fictitious giving to 39 debtors. State losses due to the actions of the suspects are said to have reached Rp220 billion.
