Kodam VI Mulawarman Alerts 100 Soldiers To Protect IKN Nusantara

JAKARTA - At least 100 soldiers of the VI/Mulawarman Military Regional Command (Kodam) were alerted in the Nusantara City area, the capital city of Indonesia in Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province.

"About 100 soldiers are assigned specifically to guard the security of the city of Nusantara," said Commander of Kodam (Pangdam) VI/Mulawarman Major General TNI Rudy Rachmat Nugraha after cleaning the coast of the 2025 National Waste Care Day (HPSN) in Penajam, Sunday.

"Security is carried out physically and non-physically," he added, quoted by ANTARA.

Soldiers from Kodam VI/Mulawarman who were assigned specifically in the city of Nusantara, he continued, provided assistance to the community to jointly protect the territory of the capital city of Indonesia.

The current condition of the City of Nusantara, said the Pangdam, in the development area and in Sepaku District, is generally under control.

"It is certain that the capital city of Indonesia is in a safe condition, and soldiers also provide assistance to local residents," he explained again.

The soldiers were also on guard at a number of construction points for the City of Nusantara to ensure that the work on the capital city of Indonesia moved without problems.

"According to the procedures, soldiers are on standby in the central area to development projects in the city of Nusantara," he said.

The placement of soldiers in the capital city of Indonesia is not yet centralized, the placement of soldiers according to the command is carried out in stages along with the process of building a headquarters in the city of Nusantara, said Rudy Rachmat Nugraha.
