Novi Sukatani Dismissed Principal Before The Song 'Pay Paying' Viral

JAKARTA The impact of the song Pay Pay Pay, Sukatani band vocalist, Novi Citra Indriyati is suspected of being fired from her profession as a teacher. The news emerged after the circulation of a video apologizing for the Sukatani band without wearing a face mask.

This issue originated from the hashtag #KamiBersamaSukatani which was busy on social media X, where one of the uploads said that Novi had been fired.

"It was followed. In fact, one of the members (persons) was fired from work. (He was a teacher, fired by the school on the basis of sending letters from the apparatus)," the upload reads.

The upload was finally replied to by one of the netizens and confirmed the issue of Novi's dismissal.

"Yes Bang, it has been confirmed. The vocalist was indeed fired from his job," wrote the netizen.

However, this news was later denied by the principal of the IT Mutiara Hati Elementary School, Eti Endarwati, where Novi worked.

Reporting from Tribunnews, Sunday, February 23, Eti emphasized that Novi had been fired before the problem of Sukatani's band song went viral. He also said the reason for his dismissal.

"He teaches well, but a teacher not only has competence, but must also comply with the rules. What is violated is the code of ethics, especially those related to Islamic law," said Eti.

"There are rules that apply to all and there is a code of ethics to our teachers. The code of ethics has been socialized at the beginning of registration, and from the start he already knew the consequences," he said.
