PT JSN Supports Operations For Controlling ODOL On The Solo Ngawi Toll Road

JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Solo Ngawi (JSN) as the manager of the Solo-Ngawi Toll Road will control Over Dimension Over Load (ODOL) and Overspeed vehicles along with the Sragen Regency Land Transportation Directorate and the Central Java Highway Patrol (PJR) 7 Sragen Regency Military Police Detachment on Thursday, February 20, 2025 on the Solo-Ngawi Toll Road.

President Director of PT JSN, Mery Natacha Panjaitan, in his statement said that this activity was carried out to increase the comfort of toll road users, and improve traffic safety and maintain road quality, especially the Solo-Ngawi Toll Road Section.

"This operation to control ODOL and Overspeed has the main target of large vehicles violating or controlling vehicles that exceed the dimensional and heavy capacity that has been implemented, vehicles traveling beyond the specified speed limit, reducing accident rates, increasing driver discipline on toll roads, minimizing construction damage and toll road maintenance, and campaigning for safety. The location that is the main target of this operation is the Rest Area KM 519 B of the Solo-Ngawi Toll Road," he said, Saturday, February 22.

In this ODOL and Overspeed Operation, several large vehicles were detected violating the heavy capacity limit (over load) and did not have complete vehicle documents, so the Police took action in the form of a ticket.

Enforcement is also applied to vehicles that do not have complete documents and roadworthiness tests. In addition, several other vehicles were found to be traveling beyond the speed limit with a maximum tolerance of 120 km per hour, and drivers who violated were given sanctions in the form of appeals and warnings to raise awareness of traffic safety.

"It is hoped that through this operation, violations of traffic regulations can be suppressed, thus creating a safer and more orderly toll road environment," explained Mery.

He also appealed to all road users to always be careful on the road, obey applicable signs, ensure that vehicles are in prime condition, have sufficient electronic money balance and refuel before starting the journey.
