JAKARTA - The Asset Recovery Agency accompanied the Yogyakarta District Attorney's Office in carrying out a follow-up auction of state booty on behalf of the convict Benny Tjokrosaputro, President Director of PT Hanson International Tbk, on Friday, February 21, 2025.

This auction refers to the Supreme Court Decision Number 320 K/Pid.Sus/2023 dated February 14, 2023, which stipulates that all evidence of the case was confiscated to be auctioned off by the prosecutor.

The auction results will be returned proportionally to the victims of PT Hanson International Tbk and Hanson Cooperative Mitra Mandiri. If there is any remaining funds, it will be handed over to the state.

Dalam lelang tersebut, terdapat 17 bidang tanah di Kabupaten Lebak, Provinsi Banten, yang dilelang. Dari jumlah itu, lima bidang tanah dengan total luas 16,608 m2 berhasil terjual dengan nilai Rp600,3 juta.

Benny Tjokrosaputro was found guilty in a criminal case of banking and money laundering.

He violated Article 16 and Article 46 of Law Number 10 of 1998 concerning Banking, in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 jo. Article 67 of the Criminal Code, as well as Article 3 in conjunction with Article 10 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of the Crime of Money Laundering.

"The success of this auction is the result of collaboration with the Serang State Property and Auction Service Office (KPKNL), as well as the support of the Lebak District Attorney and the Yogyakarta Special Region High Prosecutor's Office," said Kapuspenkum, Hari Siregar, Saturday, February 22, 2025.

This step is in line with the direction of the Head of the Asset Recovery Agency, Dr. Amir Yanto, in accelerating the completion of state booty in order to optimize state revenues.
