Brigadier General Djuhandhani Clarifies Alleged Embezzlement Of Land Certificates

JAKARTA - Director of General Crimes (Dirtipidum) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Brigadier General Pol. Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro clarified the report on the alleged embezzlement of land certificates reported by someone named Brata Ruswanda against him to the Police Propam Division.

"If the investigator's report or embezzlement, right, what should be embezzled? Everything is in Bareskrim. Everything is in accordance with the rules. If it is reported as embezzlement, go ahead," he told the media crew, quoted in Jakarta, Saturday.

He explained that initially, his party received a report regarding the alleged forgery of land documents. In the context of the examination, the reporting party sent the original land certificate as evidence.

However, in the process, it was found that the certificate on which the report was based was fake based on the results of the forensic laboratory (labfor).

"There is a provision from the Criminal Procedure Code stating that if the goods are not used for the investigation process, of course they will be returned to the owner. In that process, right, there is a case title. The case title that was carried out after that is currently in process. If the process is in the process of being held, can I submit it? " he said.

After the investigation case was carried out, he confirmed that the evidence would be returned. However, with a note.

"According to the Criminal Procedure Code, we will definitely return it with a note. We will provide a note that this letter based on the results of a forensic laboratory is non-identical. We continue to maintain that this letter should not be used for other acts," he explained.

Regarding the reporting against him and his three subordinates at the Police Propam Division, he said that this would be an evaluation of his party.

"In principle, corrections are for us so that we remain professional and everything we carry out in the investigation process, God willing, we always go through the process professionally," he said.

For information, Brigadier General Pol. Djuhandani Rahardjo Puro and his three subordinates were reported to the Police Propam Division by Poltak Silitonga as Brata Ruswanda's attorney on suspicion of embezzlement, hiding and detaining without the legal basis of his client's securities.

The report is registered with the number SPSP2/000646/II/2025/BAGYANDUAN, dated February 10, 2025.

Poltak said that the original land certificate belonging to Brata Ruswanda as the heir had been handed over to investigators from the Dittipidum Bareskrim Polri for years.

"It has been seven years without clarity, our client also asked for the letter to be returned because he no longer believes in the Dittipidum investigators. The original letter belonging to our client was detained without a clear legal basis and the report hanging was unclear," he said.
