NTB Police Narcotics Directorate Investigators Allegedly Extorted Suspects Of Mushroom Circulation, The Case Was Investigated By Propam

JAKARTA - A member of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police (Polda) with the rank of an officer with the initials DS is suspected of extorting a suspect in a case of alleged drug trafficking type mushrooms.

The case is based on a report and has been handled by the Profession and Security Division (Propam) of the NTB Police. However, the NTB Police admitted that they did not know this would confirm it with the Propam.

"I'll check first," said the Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. M Kholid, when confirmed on Friday, February 21, was confiscated by Antara.

The handling of the case was revealed based on a follow-up to the police report Number: LP.A/30/1/2025/Yanduan, dated January 30, 2025, regarding the alleged violation of the Police Professional Code of Ethics.

The NTB Police were recorded to have followed up on the police report that came from the IA party by issuing an Order for the Head of Propam Division of the NTB Police Number: Sprin/49/I/WAS.2.1/2025, dated January 31, 2025 regarding the implementation of examination and filing of alleged violations of the Police Professional Code of Ethics.

The issuance of the letter was then continued by calling the suspect IA as the reporter according to the summons Number: SPG/40/II/WAS 2.1/2025/Bidpropam, dated February 10, 2025.

In the letter, the suspect IA was asked to meet the accreditor Iptu Ghufron Subeki to provide testimony as a witness in the alleged ethical violation case allegedly committed by the National Police Officer with the initials DS in the capacity of investigators at the Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the NTB Police.

Iptu Ghufron Subeki when confirmed by telephone, Friday, has not yet responded to the follow-up to the IA suspect's report. Likewise with the Head of Propam Division of the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. Dedy Darmawansyah.

The National Police Officer with the initials DS in the alleged extortion by asking for hundreds of millions of money from the suspect IA is suspected of violating Article 13 paragraph (1) of the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2003 concerning the Dismissal of Members of the State Police of the Republic of Indonesia, and Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b, and Article 10 paragraph (1) letter d, and Article 10 paragraph (2) letter I of the Regulation of the Indonesian National Police Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Code of Ethics of Profession and the Code of Ethics Commission of the Indonesian National Police.

Suspect IA made this report through his attorney, Lalu Anton Hariawan. He admitted that he had not received any information on the agenda of calling his client on February 10, 2025.
