Prabowo Lantik Brian Yuliarto Becomes Minister Of Education And Technology To Replace Satryo Soemantri

President Prabowo inaugurated Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Nugroho Sulistyo Budi as Head of BSSN along with other heads and deputy heads of agencies at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (19/2/2025).

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto appointed Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Mendiktisaintek) Brian Yuliarto at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday 19 February afternoon. Brian replaces Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro who resigned today.

Brian's inauguration took place today with ministers and other heads of institutions, namely the Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Nugroho Sulistyo Budi, Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) Muhammad Yusuf Ateh.

Furthermore, Deputy Head of BPKP Agustina Arumsari, then Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, Deputy Head of BPS Sonny Harry Budiutomo.

The Head of BSSN was inaugurated by the President based on Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 29 P of 2025 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of the Head of BSSN.

In a series of inauguration processions, Deputy for Apparatus Administration of the Ministry of State Secretary Ninik Purwanti read out as well as the President's decision on the inauguration of the Head of BSSN and other new officials.

The determination of Nugroho as Head of BSSN took effect on the date he was sworn in by the President this afternoon.

The inauguration ceremony of the Minister of Education and Technology and the Head of BSSN and other officials began by singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya, then reading the president's decision regarding the appointment of ministers and a number of heads and deputy heads of agencies.

After reading the president's decision and the list of officials to be sworn in, President Prabowo read out the oath of office which was attended by new officials who were sworn in this afternoon.

"That I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and will carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible for the sake of dharma, my service to the nation and state. That in carrying out my duties, I will uphold the ethics of my position, work as well as possible, with a full sense of responsibility," said the President, who was followed by the officials.

Then, the series of ceremonies continued with the signing of the minutes by the new officials, which were witnessed directly by President Prabowo Subianto.

At the State Palace, several officials and ministers of the Red and White Cabinet also attended the inauguration ceremony of a number of officials this afternoon. Some of them, namely Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Budi Gunawan, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Coordinating Minister for Indonesian Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian.

There are also Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy, Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Public Works, Minister of ATR/BPN Nusron Wahid, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo, and there is also National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, then Head of BIN M. Herindra, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
