JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) stated that the stabilization activity in the Gundih Gas Central Processing Plant (CPP) operating area located in the Blora area, Central Java, continued after a disturbance in the Thermal Oxidizer (TOX) area resulted in the release of sparks at the facility. the. The incident occurred on Thursday 9 April morning at around 9 am.

"At around 09.40 WIB we received information about a disturbance in the Thermal Oxidizer (TOX) area at the Gundih CPP. This incident resulted in a fire appearing at the facility," said Asset 4 General Manager of PT Pertamina EP Agus Amperianto in a statement received by VOI, Thursday April 9th.

Furthermore, the PT Pertamina EP Cepu Field Emergency Management team immediately made efforts to stabilize all facilities at the Gundih CPP so that the fire at the TOX Facility was successfully controlled. The fire was successfully extinguished at 10.45 WIB and there were no casualties for this incident.

"Currently the operation at the Gundih CPP and the gas well has been shutdown for the stabilization process. All workers in the Gundih CPP area have been evacuated, 2 fire trucks and ambulances and paramedics are on standby at the location," said Agus.

Then, Agus added that currently the PKD team is still maintaining the Gundih CPP facility to secure it until the condition is stable.

"We hope that the people around the location will not panic. Because our team is still handling this condition thoroughly. Please pray that the Gundih CPP facility can immediately operate normally. And we can distribute gas production of 50 MMSCFD to consumers, including PT SPP, PLTGU Tambak Lorok Semarang and PGN Jargas Blora and Jargas Semarang, "Agus concluded.
