Victims Of Theft At GBK Senayan Korean Music Concert Committee

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanah Abang Metro Police is still investigating the perpetrators of the theft of bags in the SUGBK Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, February 13, noon.

Tanah Abang Metro Police Chief, AKBP Aditya Sembiring said the perpetrator was arrested by one of the GBK security officers. The perpetrator committed the theft at the Indonesian Building, Senayan.

"We secured a number of evidences, starting from CCTV footage, we also secured some items taken," said the police chief when confirmed.

The police chief said the perpetrator was caught red-handed by security officers.

At that time, DS (30) was known to be preparing for a Korean music concert.

"When he was resting, the victim put the bag next to him. When he woke up, the bag was gone and the officer then checked the CCTV where the perpetrator was found to have taken away," he said.

The perpetrator was arrested after checking CCTV and officers managed to arrest the perpetrator who was still around the building.

"To account for his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 5 years in prison," he said.

Previously reported, Firmansyah (35), a thug with a batik tattoo on his left arm, could only surrender when he was secured to the Tanah Abang Metro Police on Thursday, February 13. Firman was arrested for theft in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Senayan area, Tanah Abang. Because the residents were caught, Firman was beaten to a pulp.

Firman was caught stealing a bag containing his cellphone, wallet and some money as well as his victim's ATM card.
