Floods, Damaged Roads, And Public Services Are Still Problems In Medan

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Medan DPRD, Rajudin Sagala, said that the majority of residents in the capital city of North Sumatra Province still highlight the poor road infrastructure, flooding and public services.

"The first problem is the road is still not good. Then the drainage, the brief rain, Medan continues to be flooded with water, even floods and public services," said Rajudin who is a PKS politician at the Medan City DPRD Building, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, April 20.

Public services, he explained, especially health both Puskesmas and public hospitals, and public facilities for transit places, including bus and train stops.

Meanwhile, member of the Medan City DPRD, Dedy Aksyari Nasution, admitted that he found social problems that are always complained of by the public, especially in electoral districts.

"Don't forget, social issues are no less important. Such as floods, garbage, infrastructure, employment, and others," said the Gerindra Party politician, both during the recess and the socialization of local regulations.

Among them, he explained, the problem of many residents who do not have Class III BPJS Health as Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI), and the Ministry of Social Affairs' Family of Hope Program (PKH) is due to not being registered in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We ask the Mayor of Medan (Bobby Nasution) and his ranks to immediately fix the complaints of the community. So that residents feel accommodated and served well," said Rajudin Sagala.

As for Bobby Nasution, since his appointment as Mayor of Medan, he has immediately fixed the problems in Medan. One of them is about floods and damaged roads.
