Quick Action, Antang Perumnas Health Center Deploys Evacuation Team For Residents Trapped In Floods

The Antang Perumnas Health Center deployed a team of health workers to evacuate residents trapped in floods in Manggala, Makassar, South Sulawesi.

It was reported that 75 people were displaced. Residents fled to the Jabal Nur mosque.

"Reports from the team, from 18.00 as far as 75 people from 22 families are currently displaced," said Head of the Antang Public Health Center, Perumnas Artha Silfira, Monday, February 10.

Of the 75 people, 45 adults, 18 children, 10 toddlers, 1 baby and 1 pregnant woman were recorded.

"Alhamdulillah, tonight the flood refugees at the Jabal Nur mosque post are all healthy and most of them are asleep, tonight we focus on helping the community with high-risk evacuations such as post-sars patients and some elderly people," he said.

The Makassar Region IV Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) previously released the Makassar City weather forecast.

Weather in the areas of Makassar, Barru, Bone, Gowa, Selayar Islands, Maros, Pangkep, and Takalar light rain in the morning. Meanwhile, other areas in South Sulawesi are predicted to be cloudy.
