JAKARTA - Social Minister Tri Rismaharini asked the management of the logistics warehouse of the Ministry of Social Affairs to manage food aid stocks and logistics tools digitally, not manually.

Risma met the logistics management problem when she visited the East Region Ministry of Social's Logistics Warehouse in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Tuesday, April 14.

"So, please all warehouses can be integrated in displaying warehouse content data digitally and no longer in paper form," said Risma to the local Disaster Preparedness Taruna (Tagana) member.

The former Surabaya Mayor, on the occasion, still saw the logistics stock management that was presented to him in the form of printed data. Apparently, logistics stock management at the East Makassar Logistics Warehouse is already in digital form, only it can be seen for employees in the region.

Therefore, Risma requested that the food and equipment stock data throughout the warehouse be integrated in digital form, and can be monitored centrally.

In addition, Risma said that in every warehouse there is a need for the availability of goods that must be quickly delivered to various locations of the disaster, and are not hindered by modes of transportation and shipping costs.

According to Risma's experience at the disaster site recently, the delivery of logistical assistance was constrained by the mode of transportation.

At sea, shipping is hampered by high waves. Then on the ground, the road conditions damaged by the disaster, as well as air routes, are constrained by runway limitations, he said.

This made the delivery of residents hampered and did not arrive quickly, where the logistical needs, according to Risma, were related to meeting the main needs of the victims at that time.

"In the logistics warehouse, it is necessary to add enough contents so that the delivery to the disaster location is not hampered by transportation and delivery costs," said Risma.

In addition, Risma checked that all the equipment for the construction of the refugee camps was suitable for use. He asked at the disaster site to prepare a tent with a material not made of tarpaulin and with a design that would facilitate the installation of tent pole supports.

"It is necessary to prepare a tent model made of non-tarpaulin material and at the end of the middle there is a hole to support a pole like the one used in Pramuka," he said.
