Mendikdasmen Watch The Inauguration Of 4 Professors At UMJ Ciputat

TANGERANG - Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) of the Republic of Indonesia as well as Chairman of the UMJ Daily Management Agency (BPH) Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu'ti witnessed the inauguration process of four Professors at Muhammadiyah University Jakarta (UMJ), Ciputat, South Tangerang.

On that occasion, Mu'ti said that in less than 4 years, UMJ has succeeded in adding many professors and making UMJs accredited.

"If a university has superior accreditation, the quality of student learning and graduation will also be superior," Minister Mu'ti said in a written statement received on Thursday, February 6.

The four professors inaugurated were Prof. Dr. Taufiqurokhman, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elfarisna, Prof. Dr. Happy Indira Dewi, and Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fachri, at the KH Auditorium Ahmad Azhar Basyir, Cendikia UMJ Building, Thursday, February 6.

The four were confirmed by the Chairman of the UMJ Senate, Prof. Dr. Masyitoh Chusnan, accompanied by the Chancellor of UMJ Prof. Dr. Ma'mun Murod.

Mu'ti hopes that the knowledge developed will be a blessing and beneficial for many parties. He also advised all levels of UMJ to continue to work more compactly and play an active role in improving the quality of teacher education in Indonesia.

Ma'mun expressed his gratitude and congratulated the Professor and his family. He said that the task of a scholar is not only to write in a journal, but must be present in society and the people, and contribute to making Indonesia better.

Currently, there are 4,300 universities throughout Indonesia. Muhammadiyah has 162 universities. The current number of lecturers is 338,289, but only 9,790 professors have the title. This means that the number of professors in Indonesia is still very small," said Ma'mun.
