Corruption Of House DP Rp0, Two Private Officials Sentenced To 6-7 Years In Prison

JAKARTA - Two high-ranking private companies were sentenced to imprisonment for 6 and 7 years related to the corruption case in land acquisition in Pulo Gebang, East Jakarta for the down payment (DP) program of IDR 0 of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

The two private officials are the Director of Operations of PT Adonara Propertindo Tommy Adrian as well as the owner of the benefits and President Director of PT Adonara Propertindo Rudy Hartono Iskandar, with each imprisonment for 6 years and 7 years.

"Declaring that the defendants have been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption together as in the first indictment of the public prosecutor," said Chief Judge Bambang Joko Winarno during a trial reading the verdict of the panel of judges at the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor), Thursday, February 6, as reported by ANTARA.

In addition to imprisonment, the Panel of Judges also imposed a fine of Rp. 200 million each to the defendants provided that if the fine was not paid, it would be replaced (subsider) with a maximum imprisonment of 3 months.

Especially for Rudy, an additional penalty is also imposed in the form of payment of replacement money of Rp. 27.31 billion with the condition that if the convict does not pay the replacement money no later than one month after the decision has permanent legal force, then his property can be confiscated by the prosecutor and auctioned off to cover the replacement money.

"In the event that the convict cannot pay the replacement money, he will be sentenced to 2 years in prison," said the presiding judge.

Previously, the two private officials were charged with a higher sentence than the decision of the Panel of Judges, namely Tommy for 7 years and Rudy for 9 years.

Both were also required to pay a fine of Rp. 300 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison, while Rudy was also asked to be sentenced to an additional penalty in the form of paying compensation of Rp. 224.21 billion, subsidiary to 5 years in prison.

In the case of alleged corruption in land acquisition for the Rumah DP program of Rp. 0 of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Tommy and Rudy were charged with joint corruption or abuse of authority, causing a total loss of state finances of Rp. 256.03 billion.

Both are suspected of committing corruption with former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya (PPSJ) Yoory Corneles.

In the corruption case, Yoory was charged with enriching himself by Rp31.82 billion, while Rudy is suspected of enriching himself worth Rp224.21 billion, which was the cause of state financial losses.

Yoory has already been sentenced by the Jakarta Corruption Court Panel of Judges at the end of January 2025, with a sentence of 5 years in prison, a fine of Rp. 300 million, a subsidiary of 3 months in prison, and paying compensation of Rp. 1.74 billion, subsidiary to imprisonment for 1 year and 6 months.
