JAKARTA - Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau of the Constitutional Court Pan Mohamad Faiz stated that the Constitutional Court's decision regarding whether or not the 2024 Pilkada dispute case was dismissed from intervention.
"By looking at the accountability that has been opened and prepared by the Constitutional Court in each trial, we firmly believe there is no intervention whatsoever," said Faiz as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 6.
Faiz explained, the entire election dispute trial was held openly. The trial that has been held can also be watched again through the Constitutional Court's YouTube channel, while the minutes of the trial can be downloaded via the web page.
When the verdict was pronounced on Tuesday (4/2) and Wednesday (5/2), the Court also provided a large screen in the courtyard outside the building. Those who cannot enter the courtroom can still listen to the trial together.
In addition, after the verdict or stipulation was pronounced, the Court immediately uploaded a copy to the official website. Decision documents can not only be accessed by litigants, but also the wider community.
"So this is one of the transparency and accountability that the Constitutional Court has implemented in resolving regional election disputes," said Faiz.

The Constitutional Court read out the dismissal cases of the 2024 Pilkada dispute on Tuesday (4/2) and Wednesday (5/2). Of the total 310 cases registered, 40 of them continued to the evidentiary trial stage and 270 other cases ran aground.
Previously, Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Saldi Isra, asked the parties in the regional election dispute to submit the verdict to the panel of judges. Saldi also asked disputed parties not to believe in the lure of an unclear person.
"Let us decide fairly, don't be disturbed by the Court with irrelevant things. Because there are so many stories of all kinds, sometimes it's just speculation outside to monotize, saying 'We've talked to this' and all kinds of things," Saldi said in court, Thursday (30/1).
Meanwhile, Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo said that his party would not allow it if there were parties who lured them to influence the judge's decision, including in the election dispute case.
"Because if we let it, then we let it go, later it will be like an image that becomes the truth, even though it's not necessarily true. Please if there are media friends who can provide data, we and the Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court can then take the attitudes that are as determined," said Suhartoyo.
