Head Of BPJPH Claims JPH Implementation Has Opened 12 Thousand New Jobs In 100 Days

JAKARTA - Head of the Halal Product Guarantee Administration Agency (BPJPH) Ahmad Haikal Hasan said the implementation of Halal Product Guarantee (JPH) had created 12,321 new jobs in Indonesia within 100 days.

"For about three months we have carried out this mandate, thank God, we have opened up jobs to more than 12,000 people without the need to build factories," Haikal said as quoted from the official BPJPH website via Antara, Thursday, February 6.

The man who is familiarly called Babe Haikal said that the creation of 12,321 jobs was carried out through the recruitment program for a number of human resources in the JPH field.

Among them, assistants for the halal product process (P3H) tasked with helping micro and small businesses (UMK) in the halal certification process, halal auditors, halal investigators, and halal frillers.

"We have also issued halal certificates to more than 106,000 business actors, and during the October period to date, 595,788 products have received halal certification," said Haikal.

According to Haikal, this success cannot be separated from the government's commitment to carrying out the mandate of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to realize national stability in order to achieve the target of economic growth and the realization of people's welfare in the midst of increasingly complex global challenges.

He also emphasized the importance of halal certification in supporting the strengthening of the community's economy. Not only providing legal certainty for the products in circulation, this certification is also an economic added value for business actors in producing and trading halal products that are increasingly competitive.

"With halal certification, business actors not only increase the competitiveness of their products, but also support Indonesia's vision as a major player in the global halal product market," said Haikal.

He said he was optimistic that JPH would not only create more jobs, but also strengthen the halal ecosystem in Indonesia, and make Indonesia the world's halal center.

"For this reason, the synergy of collaboration and cooperation between all relevant stakeholders, be it ministries/agencies, local governments, universities, halal centers, mass organizations, the private sector, and all relevant stakeholders, we must continue to strengthen to realize our noble ideals," he said.
