JAKARTA - Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) researcher Yassar Aulia said that the handling of allegations of corruption in social responsibility funds or corporate social responsibility (CSR) of Bank Indonesia (BI) has protracted.
This assessment arose because a general investigation warrant (sprindik) had been issued but the suspect had not been determined.
"ICW assesses that the ongoing legal process has been too protracted without the determination of a single suspect's name. In fact, this case has long been set for the investigation stage, where it is certain that the status of the case will increase from the investigation," said Yassar in a written statement quoted on Thursday, February 6.
The anti-corruption commission should have found to strengthen parties who have the potential to become suspects. "Moreover, there have been so many parties who have been summoned," he said.
"And several times the KPK has carried out forced efforts in the form of searches, for example. So that it can be ascertained that the clues obtained by investigators are definitely not small from the process," continued Yassar.
Yassar reminded that the KPK's performance is currently being monitored by the public. So, whoever is caught must be thoroughly investigated.
"KPK needs to really verify whether or not there is involvement from other parties such as politicians in the misuse of CSR BI funds that should be given to the foundation receiving the assistance program," said the anti-corruption activist.
"One way, it can be revealed the identities of individuals who are owners of the final benefits or beneficial owners of the foundations that receive funds," said Yassar.
Previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating allegations of corruption in the Social Responsibility Fund (CSR) of Bank Indonesia (BI). The investigation uses a general investigation warrant (sprindik) signed in the third week of December 2024.
There is no name in the regulation yet. However, two people or even more have the potential to be charged after a search was carried out at the Bank Indonesia office to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) on Monday night, December 16, 2024.
