LAMPUNG - The police arrested one person who had 2.2 kilograms (kg) of methamphetamine in Sidodadi Village, Kedaton District, Bandarlampung City, Lampung Province.

"In the arrest operation on Friday (January 31), the ranks of the Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) secured RF at his rented place in Sidodadi Village," said Bandarlampung Police Chief Kombes Pol Jacob Tilukay, in a statement received in Bandarlampung, Sunday, February 2, confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the arrest of RF was the development of a case previously revealed by the Bandarlampung Police.

Before revealing the RF, he said, his party had made various catchers in the Telukbetung area.

From a series of arrest activities, his party secured the perpetrators of AF, HL, RD, RI and HM. From the hands of these five narcotics dealers, we secured 0.95 grams, 0.18 grams, and 0.66 grams.

Meanwhile, from RF's hands, said Jacob, the police found evidence in the form of a large green pack bearing Guanyinwang containing white crystals, a clear plastic bag containing 12 plastic clips containing methamphetamine.

Then, a plastic clip contains four plastic clips of methamphetamine, one plastic clip containing three plastic clips of methamphetamine, one plastic clip containing 12 plastic clips of methamphetamine, with a total gross weight of 2,200 grams or 2.2 kg worth Rp2,201,790,000.

In addition, he said, at the RF rented place, police officers found 100 ecstasy pills wrapped separately in 10 plastic clips with a value of Rp35,000,000.

"From the results of the disclosure of this case, at least we managed to save around 110 thousand lives from the dangers of narcotics abuse," he said.

According to him, the perpetrators will be charged with Article 114 Paragraph (1) and (2) Subsidiary Article 112 Paragraph (1) and (2) Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics.

"They will be subject to a minimum sentence of five years and a maximum of 20 years in prison," he said.

He said the disclosure of this narcotics case was the success of the Bandarlampung Police, but so it was a challenge for the Police to continue to be able to fight drug trafficking in this city area.

"Therefore, we ask all parties to work together to continue to uncover the illicit trafficking of narcotics until the Bandarlampung City is free from narcotics trafficking," he said.
