South Jakarta Police Chief Admits There Was A Meeting Related To Murder Involving Prodia Boss's Son

South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Ade Rahmat Idnal, denied allegations that he had received Rp400 million in connection with a murder case involving Prodia's son. However, he admitted that there was a meeting related to the case at a hotel in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

"(Receiving Rp400 million) It's not true, it's not true, Mas. I did meet in person when they asked for the case to be SP3. But this case is already P21," said Ade Rahmat when confirmed on Saturday, February 1.

Ade also said that the meeting with the AN and BH camps was held after the South Jakarta Metro Police held a press conference related to the murder case with the suspects Arif Nugroho (AN) and Bayu Hartanto (BH).

The meeting was made after the case was released. At that time, his status had been suspended, and they asked that the case be SP3 because it had continued to the P21 stage," he explained.

"I said, I can't. Until whenever this case will continue, I will continue," he said.

Previously, the attorney for the son of Prodia's boss, Romi Sihombing, revealed allegations of extortion committed by two former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Bintoro and AKBP Gogo Galesung.

Romi claimed that Kombes Pol Ade Rahmat Idnal was also suspected of receiving money to release the murder case that ensnared AN and BH.

He explained that he wanted to fight for justice by exposing the alleged extortion. Romi said that this case began when an individual lawyer approached after the murder case of AN and BH was handled by the South Jakarta Metro Police.

After the approach was made, a request for some money emerged from law enforcement officers regarding the handling of the case.
