State Duma Spokesperson Calls The Threat Of Killing President Putin The Road Towards A Nuclear War

JAKARTA - Spokesman for the State Duma (low paper of the Russian Parliament) Vyacheslav Volodin said the assassination plan of President Vladimir Putin and discussions on it constitute crimes and serious threats to global security.

"Putin's assassination plan, just a discussion of it is a crime, a serious threat to global security, a straight path to nuclear war. All international agencies must see it as the basis for investigation," Volodin wrote on Telegram, launching TASS January 29.

Volodin believes, amid today's difficult confrontations, the Russian people need to "understand the levels of challenges and threats we face and therefore understand their own responsibilities."

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov doubted US conservative host Tucker Carlson's claims regarding the Joe Biden Administration's plan to kill Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"We really don't know what Carlson meant when he said that," Peskov told reporters on Wednesday, when asked for comment on the matter.

Peskov noted Carlson "did not provide any evidence" when he claimed on his podcast earlier this week that President Biden's Administration had "tried to kill President Putin."

"Currently without evidence, no matter what evidence comes from anyone, it's better not to just believe it," he said.

Tucker Carlson on Monday accused the Joe Biden Administration, which ended last week, of trying to kill President Putin.

"The Biden administration did, they tried to kill Putin," the former Fox News host said in her latest podcast episode, "The Tucker Carlson Show", as quoted by Politico.

"That's crazy," added Carlson.

"It's crazy, you can think of something like that. So why do they do it? Because chaos is a cover that protects them," he said.

Carlson did not provide any evidence to support his claim. President Biden is known to lead the US from January 2021 to Janauri 2025.
