Floods Inundate Roads, Traffic Traffic Unit Changes Traffic Flow In Jakarta

In connection with the flood that submerged part of the road, the North Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) deployed personnel to carry out traffic engineering.

"We have made arrangements so that motorists are not trapped passing through flooded roads," said North Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Head AKBP Donni Bagus Wibisono in Jakarta, quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday, January 29.

He said officers also gave an appeal to motorists to be patient and not to cross flooded areas so that vehicles do not strike.

"We give an appeal so that they do not continue their journey because the water is still quite high," he said.

He gave an example of the road in front of KBN Cakung which is near the 58 Rorotan toll exit which was flooded with a height of 90 centimeters to one meter.

"The length of the road is 300 meters long and we ask that the car park first until the water recedes," he said.

In addition, a number of roads such as on Boulevard Kelapa Gading are also flooded with quite high water and vulnerable to passing vehicles.

"We are engineering traffic and diverting traffic so that traffic flow during this flood," he said.

Previously, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) detailed 18 roads in North Jakarta that were flooded due to high rainfall that had been going on since Tuesday (28/1).

"Information about the flood inundation on Wednesday morning at 06.00 there was a puddle of water that submerged a number of roads," said Head of the Data and Information Center (Kapusdatin) of the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Mohamad Yohan in Jakarta, Wednesday.

He explained that roads that were flooded starting from Jalan Mangga Tugu Utara Koja with flood heights reaching 30 centimeters, Jalan Mangga Ujung Tugu Utara Koja with flood heights of 15 centimeters, Jalan Komplek Uka Tugu Utara Koja with a water level of 15 centimeters.

Then Jalan Bhayangkara Tugu Utara Koja was flooded as high as 15 centimeters, Jalan Camar Tugu Utara Koja was submerged 10 centimeters, Jalan Pluit Dalam Penjaringan the flood height reached 25 centimeters, Jalan Kramat Jaya Raya, North Tugu Koja with a water level of 15 centimeters.

Furthermore, Jalan Boulevard Utara Kelapa Gading was flooded as high as 10 centimeters, Jalan Pegangsaan Dua Greenhill Kelapa Gading was flooded as high as 30 centimeters, Jalan Kelapa Hybrid Raya Kelapa Gading was flooded as high as 40 centimeters, Jalan Boulevard Barat Raya Kelapa Gading Barat was inundated with water as high as 20 centimeters.

Then Jalan Kalibaru Barat 1 Cilincing was flooded as high as 20 centimeters, Jalan RE Martadinata next to the Tanjung Priok Terminal rail was flooded as high as 20 centimeters, Jalan Raya Sulawesi Tanjung Priok was flooded as high as 10 centimeters.

Jalan Boulevard Raya Kelapa Gading was flooded as high as 25 centimeters, Jalan Muara Baru in front of the South Pluit View Penjaringan, flood heights reached 30 centimeters, the Nizam Zachman Penjaringan Port area, flood heights reached 20 centimeters and Jalan Kelapa Nias Kelapa Gading flood heights reached 25 centimeters.
