TANGERANG REGENCY - Due to the high intensity rain that has occurred since Tuesday, January 28, at least 680 families (KK) from several sub-districts in Tangerang Regency, Banten Province, have experienced flooding. "There are five affected sub-districts, the data can increase because it has not been officially reported by any affected kelurahan/sub-district," said Tangerang Regency BPBD Head Agun Guntara in Tangerang, quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday.

He said the flood disaster that affected hundreds of families submerged with varying water levels, ranging from 30 centimeters to 1 meter. According to him, flooding in the sub-district had hit dozens of neighborhood units (RT) and several villages. The number of families from the area included Mekarsari Village, and Sukatani Village, Rajeg District as many as 431 families Then, in the Griya Lebak Wangi housing area, Sepatan District with a total of 74 families affected. Furthermore, the Kampung Pisangan area, Sepatan as many as 175 families. "Since last night the flood hit Sepatan District, Pasar Kemis, Duta Airport Housing, Teluknaga, Kosambi and Rajeg. And this is still a temporary report still being collected," he said.

He revealed, based on a report from the Tangerang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency, as many as five sub-districts in the area were hit by natural floods. Where, of the five sub-districts, including Pasar Kemis, Rajeg, Sepatan, Teluknaga and Kosambi.

According to him, the number of victims affected by the flood disaster has not been fully recorded. Because, said Agun, regional officials to BPBD officers are still conducting assessments/data collection in the field.

"Because the kelurahan/village and sub-districts have not provided official data. So what is reported is temporary," he said.

Until now, the Tangerang Regency BPBD team continues to monitor and monitor at several points of flood disasters. This was done, as an effort to handle and evacuate victims who needed assistance.

Meanwhile, for the distribution of logistical assistance or food needs, his party is currently coordinating with related agencies and the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Sector for disasters.

"Handling from the Fire and Rescue sector has been alerted. Rubber boats for the evacuation of residents are prepared when needed," he said.
