Jealous Of His Widow's Lover Being Proposed To Be The Motive For The Murder Of A School Principal In South Kalimantan, The Perpetrator Is Being Hunted By The Police

HST - personnel from the Hulu Sungai Tengah (HST) Police, South Kalimantan Police (Kalsel), are hunting for MA (25), the perpetrator of the murder of BI (50), a school principal in a local district who is suspected of having a romantic motif in Banua Kupang Village, Labuan Amas Utara District.

"The murder incident is being handled by the HST Police together with the North Labuan Amas Police. The personnel are still pursuing it, hopefully they will be caught quickly," said Head of Public Relations of the HST Police, Iptu Akhmad Priadi, confirmed in Barabai, Hulu Sungai Tengah, Antara, Tuesday, January 28.

Meanwhile, Babinsa Banua Kupang Serda Alkusnadi said the principal was a victim of severe torture to death when he was about to propose to a young widow with the initials RM (22).

"The incident occurred at a shop owned by witness RM (22), Banua Kupang Village, RT.004 RW.002, North Labuan Amas District on Monday (27/1) at around 23.00 WITA," he said.

Alkusnadi said the victim had a romantic relationship with witness RM, which on Monday (27/1) at around 19.00 WITA, the BI victim came to RM's house in Banua Kupang Village intending to propose to the widow with one child.

During the application ceremony, the MA alias Ugon perpetrator came to RM's house and shouted asking the victim to leave the house. RM's family has prohibited the victim from leaving the house, but the victim remains outside.

Alkusnadi said that at that time the perpetrator was waiting with a machete in his hand outside the house. Before the severe abuse occurred, the perpetrator and the victim had an argument, but shortly afterwards the perpetrator slashed the victim and suffered severe injuries to the neck, hands, face, and ears.

"The perpetrator and witness RM had previously been dating. After RM met the BI victim, the relationship between the perpetrator and RM ran aground. This is suspected to have triggered the murder," said Alkusnadi.
