WAMENA - Senator of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Papuan Electoral Region (Dapil) Nelson Wenda has captured the aspirations of job seekers who come from indigenous Papuans (OAP) in the local area.

The meeting between the senators of the DPD RI Papua Mountains Dapil Nelson Wenda with the Wamena Grand Birth Organization (Labewa), the youth figures of Papua Mountains went quite simply by discussing the latest various issues, one of which was the formation of prospective civil servants (CPNS) 2024/2025.

Senator of the DPD RI Nelson Wenda in Wamena, Tuesday said that his party had held a meeting with the fourth mountain Papuan job seeker for how to fight at the center regarding the recruitment of CPNS at the Papua Mountains Province and eight districts in this area.

"Of course, with the aspirations that have been accommodated and recorded this, we will fight in our way at the center and will surprise how OAP rights in Papua Mountains get the opportunity at CPNS 2024/2025," he said.

According to him, according to the provisions in the Special Autonomy Law (UU) (Otsus) Number 21 of 2021, the acceptance of district/city CPNS in Papua is 80:20, which means 80 percent of the OAP quota and 20 percent of non-OAP.

"This quota that we will fight for so that those who take the CPNS test at the provincial and district levels in Papua and the Mountains can be prioritized, of course, with a slightly different regulation from other regions," he said.

He explained that the central government through the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan-RB) should look more at Papua specifically.

"Receipts of CPNS with a computer assisted test (CAT) system must have specialities for the Papua region should not be equated between other regions of Indonesia and Papua due to limitations of both internet and human resources (HR)," he said.

He added specifically for honorary issued unilaterally by the Papua Mountains regional apparatus organization (OPD) so that it is prioritized directly to become the state civil apparatus (ASN) without a test because they have worked for approximately two years.

"We hope that you here pray that this struggle can be heard by the gentlemen at the center," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Labewa Organization, Samuel Pigay, hopes that the struggle regarding the 2024/2025 CPNS formation can be realized according to OAP's expectations.

"We pray that the aspirations that have been conveyed can be realized so that native Papuan children and children born and their parents have devoted themselves or contributed to this area for decades can become employees," he said.
