IKN Development Dominates Realization Of State Budget Expenditures In East Kalimantan

JAKARTA - Development in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) dominates the realization of spending with funds from the state budget through ministries/institutions in East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim) until the end of December 2024. "The realization of this Rp50.62 trillion with the achievement of 95.61 percent of the total ceiling which reached Rp52.94 trillion, or grew 43.04 percent compared to the previous year," said Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of East Kalimantan Province M Syaibani in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Saturday, January 25. The growth in spending realization was mainly influenced by an increase in capital expenditure for IKN development, considering that throughout 2024 jobs in the city of Nusantara are increasingly massive, even continuing until this year. Meanwhile, the work units (Satker) that dominate the realization of East Kalimantan capital expenditure in 2024 include projects in the IKN 1 and 2 regions, the implementation of settlement infrastructure for East Kalimantan Province, and the provision of housing for IKN Nusantara. For goods and services, continued Syaibani, are used to support higher education programs and vocational training, including for the implementation of connectivity infrastructure programs by the Ministry of PUPR. "In the Ministry of Public Works and social assistance spending, there is a realization and stability growth, among others for social assistance spending used by the Ministry of Religion through Sultan Aji State Islamic University Muhammad Idris in Samarinda," he said as quoted from ANTARA. According to him, development in IKN has had a major influence on the financial performance of APBN and APBD in East Kalimantan, seen until the end of December 2024, the IKN development budget dominates 77.32 percent of the K/L shopping ceiling.

The APBN allocation for IKN reached Rp40.89 trillion with a realization of Rp39.62 trillion and spread to ministries/agencies (K/L), namely the Ministry of PUPR of 99.56 percent, the Ministry of Transportation 0.24 percent, KLHK 0.16 percent, and Polri recorded 0.04 percent. , he also said, the realization of transfers to regions (TKD) from central to East Kalimantan until December 31, 2024, reached Rp41.93 trillion or 99.27 percent of the ceiling of Rp42.24 trillion. The accumulation of TKD realization decreased 19.39 percent year on year due to the decline in the contribution of Mining Revenue Sharing Funds which was also corrected, this occurred as a result of the decline in coal commodity prices.
