The police investigated the helmet theft case until Russian foreigners were arrested a day after the incident.

"The perpetrator stole a helmet in a state of depression and stress as well as the influence of alcohol due to a breakup and lives in Bali himself", said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Mengwi Police, Iptu, Ketut Wiwin Wirahadi, when contacted, Monday, April 19.

The foreigner was arrested at his residence in a villa in the Denpasar area. When arrested, the police got five helmets which were stolen by the perpetrator in one night.

The foreigner admitted to stealing a helmet while drunk and unconscious and was also depressed after breaking up with his girlfriend.

The theft was carried out after Russian foreigners were surfing and drinking alcohol at Pererenan Beach, Badung, Bali, on Thursday, April 15. On the way home, the Russian foreigner saw two motorbikes parked with helmets on the steering wheel.

The perpetrator then took it and continued to bring it home.

"When I returned to the villa I saw a helmet on the motorbike and wanted to take it", he said.

After waking up, the perpetrator Ivan admitted that he realized that there were five helmets in his house. The helmet consists of 3 adult helmets and 2 children's helmets.

The stolen helmet turned out to belong to a foreign American named Hana Leona (37) and a German foreigner named Ronald Jauh (23). The two of them then reported the loss of their helmet to the police.

The Russian foreign thief then apologized to the police and the victim. He said he did not intend to commit theft. In this case, the victim has forgiven the perpetrator and agreed to make peace.

"After arriving at the villa where he lived, he immediately slept and the next day realized that he had stolen the helmet and wanted to return the helmet for fear", said Iptu Wirahadi.
