Rizal detailed that the flood victims were spread across three villages, namely Blega Village 1,630 families, Kajjan Village 35 families, and Nyormanis Village 55 families.

"There are five mosques affected by flooding in Blega District," said Rizal.

The number of schools that were flooded reached eight institutions, while six Islamic boarding schools were also reported to be affected. For the agricultural sector, the flood inundated a total of 58 hectares of agricultural land, spread over 50 hectares of Blega Village; Kajjan Village, 5 hectares; Nyormanis Village covering an area of 3 hectares.

Floods began to occur on Monday, January 21, 2025, at around 17.00 WIB. This flood was triggered by overflowing rivers that were unable to accommodate the rising water discharge due to heavy rains.

In addition to Blega District, floods also hit Arosbaya District, Bangkalan. In this area, five hamlets in two villages were affected with water levels reaching the knee of an adult. The five hamlets include Buduran Hamlet and Ta'anyar Hamlet (Bururan Village); Rangujang Hamlet, Morlorong School Hamlet and Ngantemoran Hamlet (Arosbaya Village).

"For the number of affected residents in Arosbaya District, it is still in the process of collecting data," said Rizal.
