A Total Of 5 Victims Of Ubung Denpasar Landslides Successfully Evacuated

DENPASAR- SAR officers finally found the bodies of five landslide victims that occurred on Jalan Ken Dedes Gang I, Banjar Petangan Gede, Ubung Kaja Village, North Denpasar District, Denpasar City, Bali. The last victim found was Kresnodan Sarif.

"Regarding the evacuation of the last victim and death at 16.45 WITA. The obstacle we faced was far from the location (of the boarding house). This means, it looks like there was a hole being carried away and unlike the location of the previous victims we found," said Head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office I Nyoman Sidakarya, Monday, January 20.

"We used the excavator to search for the last victim. Because maybe the pile is too high, the landslide is too high, the victim's position is last far from what we expected," he added.

A total of 5 people were killed and 3 others found safe.

"The five victims who died were not far from one complex, there were two rooms that were hit by the rubble or landslides that all collected there in the two rooms. Two of the four rooms were destroyed, two of which were still intact," he said.
