JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo officially formed the National Police Manpower Desk which is a forum for workers to solve problems with the company.

The formation of the deks is based on the rise of cases or labor problems in Indonesia.

"This Department of Manpower is a form of our alignment with employment problems, which of course have always happened," Sigit told reporters, Monday, January 20.

According to him, the rise of problems regarding employment is triggered by uncertain global dynamics. So, it is not uncommon for companies to issue rules or policies that are considered detrimental to the actors.

With the Desk Ketenagakerjaan, the workers can have a forum to convey the problems they face.

"Of course, with this desk, we hope that there will be channels for workers and colleagues to convey what they have been complaining about," he said.

In solving the problem, said Sigit, Desk Ketenagakerjaan has several stages. Starting from receiving reports to later being investigated or processed legally.

However, law enforcement is referred to as the last step in the process of relaxing problems. Because, there will be a mediation stage between workers or laborers and entrepreneurs.

"One of the platforms for resolving industrial disputes, labor disputes between companies and workers and through a process that we have prepared the stages, starting from the stages of the report then we carry out the title, followed by mediation and later this also does not happen (agreement), law enforcement options," said Sigit.
