JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General Karyoto, asked his staff at the police level to monitor the potential for disturbances in security and order behind the hunting for coins with prizes from the Jagat application.

The coin hunting action damaged a number of facilities in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, such as garden lights, grass damage due to being stepped on, to paving blocks dismantled by hunters.

"Mr. Kapolda Metro Jaya reminded fellow Polres ranks to monitor and see if there is a potential for disturbance of security and order, the potential for disturbance of order related to the phenomenon of people looking for coins using this world coin application," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters quoted on Friday, January 17.

If later there are parties who feel aggrieved by the action of hunting for the coin, the police will take action according to the applicable law.

Therefore, the public is asked not to damage public facilities or others. Although this activity is not prohibited, continued Ade, it must prioritize mutual respect and not harm any party.

"If there are parties who feel aggrieved, we will follow up," he said.

So far, Polda Metro Jaya and its ranks have not received any reports from parties who feel aggrieved regarding the hunt for the world coin.

"Until now, we have not received any police reports related to or related to the activities of the world's pencRian coin that harm certain parties," said Ade.

This application was originally used to show the user's real-time location with one another, as well as to mark favorite and memorable places.

Users can also send emojis to other users. However, the Jagat application then offers the game "Jahat Coin Hunt" or Jagat Coin which can be exchanged for a total prize of IDR 850,000,000 in Jakarta in December 2024.

But now the game is starting to feel bad for the environment. In addition to the impact on public facilities, this application also attracts attention because of the information collected and shared from its users.
