The Sorrowful Strains Of The Bagpipes Accompany Prince Philip's Funeral

JAKARTA - The United Kingdom held a funeral ceremony for the late Prince Philip Mountbatten at the St. Chapel. George at Windsor Castle, Saturday 17 April.

Prince Philip's coffin is covered with oversized flags that symbolize Greece, Denmark as Prince Philip's family line, the City of Edinburgh Coat of Arms, and the Navy Crown which symbolizes his career in the Navy. A Navy hat and sword rested on Prince Philip's casket.

Prince Philip's funeral Mass in the Chapel of Sts. Georger is led directly by the spiritual leader of the Anglican Church, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby along with Dean of Windsor David Conner. The Mass was attended only by the royal core of 30 people.

After Mass, Major Pipa of the Scottish Empire blew the heartbreaking Bagpipes marking the start of Prince Philip's funeral process. Slowly, Prince Philip's body was taken down for burial. The next trumpet of royal honor flew in the Chapel of Sts. George.

Afterwards, the sound of the royal piano playing followed by Queen Elizabeth stepping out of the Chapel of Sts. Georga was accompanied by the Archbishop of Canterbury, followed by the British Royal family.

Queen Elizabeth II then boarded the British Royal Bentley State Limousine to return to Windsor Castle. Meanwhile, all the other royal members chose to return to the castle on foot.
