Rape Girls, Burn Schools And Shoot Teachers, PDIP Legislators: Take Action On KKB Do Not Linger

JAKARTA - Member of Commission I DPR Maj. Gen. TNI (ret.) TB Hasanuddin asked the Police and TNI to act decisively against the armed criminal group (KKB) in Papua because it could be dangerous if it continued.

"In essence I ask that the status of this armed group must be clear, if you want OPM or KKB separatists, if you want the OPM separatist status, hand it over to the TNI soldiers to be resolved, but if you want the KKB, you can hand it over to the Police. Then the TNI can help it," said TB Hasanuddin, Saturday, April 17th.

According to him, the police as law enforcers have the right to solve this problem. "But don't let it drag on, because if you let it, the name of this separatist can be on the cutting edge, can be separated," he continued.

TB assessed that the government must categorize the group designation for clarity of status. If it is a separatist group, the TNI will immediately intervene, but if the group has a criminal status, the Police must immediately resolve it.

"If it is changed to a KKB, then just lower the power of the Police as a massive law enforcer with great strength so that it will be finished soon, don't let the OPM status be neglected, then when the police KKB is not moved, eventually the victims will fall," said the politician. PDIP.

Nevertheless, TB proposed a dialogue between the central government and leaders in Papua. Because, this dialogue is one of the right ways to solve the problem.

"There are a lot of dialogues being opposed, why should the rebels have dialogue? No, let's just say that the dialogue between the central government and the regional government between father and son is allowed in democracy within the framework of the establishment of the Republic of Indonesia," said TB Hasanuddin.

Previously, the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) allegedly again shot a civilian who was a high school student in the Uloni Village area, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, Papua on Thursday, April 15.

After shooting dead a motorcycle taxi driver in Eromaga Village, Omukia District, Wednesday, April 14. KKB also carried out arson and shootings in Julukoma Village which resulted in the death of two teachers.

Last week, Thursday, April 8, KKB shot dead Oktovianus Rayo, a teacher at SD Inpres Beoga, Kampung Julugoma. Then in the afternoon the group returned and burned several rooms at SD Impres and SMPN 1 Beoga. During the action, KKB also shot Yonatan Randen, a teacher at Beoga 1 Junior High School in the chest.

The religious figure of Julukoma District, Puncak Regency, Pastor Jupinus Wama, recently revealed the facts about the KKB's heinous act. Apart from burning the school and shooting the teacher, the KKB also raped the village girls.

This was disclosed by Pastor Jupinus Wama to TNI-Polri officers at the TKP processing.

"The people are angry, the landlords are angry, God is angry. We are all angry now. They love destroyed not only the school building, but we have a daughter they love to destroy their future, we live at home, they love the house destroyed," said Jupinus, pouring out the residents' pain.
