JAKARTA - President Director of PT Welfizon Yuza admitted that his party was subject to a fine of Rp. 1.7 billion by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government because it had not been able to reach the standard bus arrival time at the bus stop (headway) during 2024.

"We were subject to a fine when we were checked by the Transportation Service, the SPM (minimum service standard) was achieved. Of our Rp3.2 billion in 2024, Rp1.7 billion was related to the headway," said Welfizon at the CSW Transjakarta Bus Stop, Wednesday, January 15.
The DKI Provincial Government is targeting a time interval between two buses arriving at the bus stop on the busway lane or 5-minute rapid transit bus (BRT) during peak hours and 10 minutes outside of peak hours.
Meanwhile, the headway target on non-BRT buses or outside the corridor is 10 minutes during peak hours and 20 minutes outside of peak hours. Over the past year, Transjakarta has not consistently run the headway according to the target.
"Today our biggest fine in 2024 is still a headway. This means that the target of 10 minutes, 5 minutes, or 20 minutes has not been achieved," said Welfizon.
"Indeed, we are taking a policy because we know exactly that the funds we use are PSO funds, funds (subsidies) from regional (budgets), of course we have to use them optimally," he added.
On the other hand, Welfizon said the subsidy burden per Transjakarta customer from the DKI Regional Budget in 2024 was reduced to IDR 10,000 per customer.
So far, Transjakarta tickets have been subsidized from the APBD of around Rp. 13,000 for a trip because the economic value of the Transjakarta tariff is Rp. 15 thousand per ticket.
"Subsidies per customer in 2022 are 16,800, then in 2023 we have succeeded in reducing it to Rp11,400. Thank God, this year we reached a figure in 2024 unaudited at Rp10,000," explained Welfizon.
