JAKARTA - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) stated that one landslide victim in Sekupang, Batam City, Riau Islands (Kepri), was missing and is still in the process of being searched by a joint team of officers until Monday evening.
Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center Abdul Muhari said the victim was one of four victims who were reported missing after a landslide occurred in the early hours of this morning at around 01.30 WIB.
"Meanwhile, of the four missing victims, three people have been found dead, and one more person is still being sought," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 13.
One heavy equipment in the form of excavators was deployed to maximize this search and rescue effort.
