Dismantling Alleged Corruption Case In Depok Damkar, Sandi Called By The Ministry Of Home Affairs

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Home Affairs has summoned a Depok City fire brigade officer who uncovered a suspected corruption case at the institution where he worked to cross check the alleged corruption crime.

"It is true, the summons of the Depok City Damkar officers who revealed the case were carried out by the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Home Affairs to cross check and collect documents including evidence from the reporter," said Special Staff to the Minister of Home Affairs for Politics and Media, Kastorius Sinaga when contacted at Jakarta, reported by Antara, Friday, April 16.

Due to the cross check and document collection of evidence from the reporter, he continued that he considered the need to call the Depok City Damkar officer.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, through the Inspectorate General together with the Inspectorate of West Java Province, has also formed a special investigation team for the case.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, said Kastorius, through the inspectorate general, paid attention to the case and was investigating it by involving the roles of the provincial inspectorate and city inspectorate.

"It also involves the Directorate General of Regional Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs to explain the standardization of damkar infrastructure facilities," he said.

Previously, a viral officer from the Depok City Fire Service, named Sandi, uploaded a photo of his protest against the alleged corruption in his agency.

Sandi is holding a poster that reads "Mr. Kemendagri, please take firm action against officials at the Depok Fire Service. We are required to work 100 percent, but the equipment in the field purchased is not 100 percent embezzled".

In the next photo, Sandi is holding a poster with the inscription asking President Joko Widodo to investigate corruption in the fire department where he works.
