JAKARTA - The logo and mascot of the 2025 National Press Day (HPN) were officially launched in a soft launching event held at the South Kalimantan Governor's Office, Friday, January 10. The event was attended by the management of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Center, including PWI General Chair Hendry Ch Bangun, Secretary General Iqbal Irsyad, General Treasurer M. Nasir, Committee Secretary Sarwani, and Deputy Chair of the Events Division Chelsia Chan.
The Acting Governor of South Kalimantan, Dr. Roy Rizali Anwar, ST, MT, received a visit from the 2025 HPN committee led directly by Hendry Ch Bangun. Roy emphasized the full support of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government for the implementation of HPN which is considered to have a positive impact on the regional economy. "Our experience as the host of HPN 2020 is a great asset for us to organize this national event better," said Roy.
Symbolic Handover of Logo and Mascot
The soft launching was marked by the handover of a photo of the HPN 2025 logo and mascot from the PWI General Chairperson Hendry Ch Bangun to the Regional Secretary Roy Rizali Anwar. The logo and mascot are symbols of the spirit of HPN 2025 which carries the theme "The Press Guards Food Security for National Independence", in line with President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita vision regarding food self-sufficiency.
