Initially, the inspection was from the brake or brake system," said Batu City Transportation Agency Motor Vehicle Tester Heri Purwanto as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 10.

In the braking component, he said, one of the things researched was the pressure of the wind, because the bus used an air braking system or a brake system.

"We saw the wind pressure conditions first, continue to be physical, tariff, and thickness, how the conditions were," he said.

In addition to the system components, the joint team will also conduct an examination of the documents to ensure the completeness of the administration and licensing belonging to the bus numbered DK-7942-GB.

Heri explained that all findings in the inspection stage of this vehicle will be collected and discussed together to conclude the trigger for the incident of a bus accident in Batu City, on Wednesday (8/1) night.

"We have not been able to determine (the conclusion of the cause of the accident), the result is also from the NTSC," he said.

As is known, the bus accident left 10 people injured and four others dead. The incident also damaged 12 motorized vehicles.

Based on the results of the crime scene (TKP) by the East Java Police Traffic Directorate together with the Batu Police, it is known that there were seven collision points along 2.3 kilometers, starting from Jalan Imam Bonjol to Jalan Patimura.

Initially, the accident was due to a bus braking system failure.

As a result, when driving on Jalan Imam Bonjol, which has an elevation of about five to seven degrees, the bus went out of control and crashed into the vehicle in front of it.
