The Attorney General's Office Confiscates The Assets Of The Sriwijaya Mosque Corruption Suspect From The Shophouse To The Land

The South Sumatra Prosecutor's Office confiscates assets in the form of shop houses and land in three different locations belonging to one of the suspects in the Sriwijaya Mosque corruption case (ANTARA)

PALEMBANG - The South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office confiscated assets in the form of buildings, shop houses, and land in three different locations belonging to one of the suspects in the Sriwijaya Mosque corruption case, Edy Hermanto.

The South Sumatra Prosecutor's Team for the first time confiscated a three-story shophouse on Mangkunegara Street, Ilir Timur II District, Friday, April 14. Then the South Sumatra Prosecutor's team confiscated a three-door shop on Kebun Sirih Street, Kalidoni District, and another three-story shophouse on Resident Abdul Rozak Street.

"If the suspect is unable to pay the state's losses, these assets will compensate for his recovery (state losses)", said Khaidirman the Head of the Legal Information Section of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office during the confiscation.

The shophouses are affixed with stickers indicating that they have been seized by the investigating team. One of the shophouses near the South Sumatra OJK office is known to be still being rented by a private company.

According to Khaidirman, the total value of the confiscated assets has not been calculated in detail. He said the confiscation was still a series of investigations against the suspect who is currently languishing at the Pakjo Palembang prison.

Previously, Edy, who was the Head of Development Masjid Sriwijaya, was named a suspect along with three other people, KSO (joint operation) PT Brantas Abipraya Ir. Dwi Kriyana, Chair of the Syarifudin Auction Implementation Division and the power of KSO Adipraya-PT Yodyakarya Yudi Wahyoni.

"For confiscation from other suspects, we will coordinate with the investigating team first", he added.
