Lampung Prosecutor's Office Searches East Lampung Regent's House Regarding Allegations Of Corruption Projects Of IDR 6.9 Billion

The Lampung High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) searched the house of the East Lampung Regent and the Public Works and Public Housing Office (PUPR) of East Lampung Regency.

This search is related to allegations of corruption in the construction and arrangement project of the gate area of the East Lampung Regent's office for the 2022 fiscal year, with a budget ceiling of Rp. 6.9 billion.

"Investigators have conducted searches at the house of the MDR (Head of East Lampung Region), the office of the East Lampung Regent, and the East Lampung PUPR Service to obtain documents and electronic evidence," said Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) at the Lampung Attorney General's Office, Armen Wijaya, as quoted from ANTARA, Friday, January 10.

Armen explained that the search was carried out based on the Investigation Order of the Head of the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office Number: Print-10/L.8/Fd.2/11/2024 dated November 11, 2024.

From the results of the search, the Lampung Attorney General's Office Investigative Team secured various pieces of evidence, including documents related to the implementation of the construction project and arrangement of the gate area of the East Lampung Regent's office.

Other evidence confiscated included a Brio car in 2024 with police number BE-1601-AAT, several land certificates, gold, watches, a number of savings books, Gucci brand bags, cash, as well as several mobile phones, identity cards. residents (KTP), ATM cards, and other items.

"Furthermore, the Investigative Team will summon witnesses and collect evidence to reveal the criminal acts that occurred and determine the suspects. We will also coordinate with related institutions to calculate state financial losses," said Armen.

The construction and arrangement project for the gate area of the East Lampung Regent's office for the 2022 fiscal year is based on the contract Number: 157.C-PUPR/PPK/SP/2022 dated September 1, 2022. This project is sourced from the East Lampung Regency Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).

In the implementation of the project auction, it is suspected that there was a violation of the law involving the implementation of the activity, namely the Tirta Abadi Generation CV, which was led by AC's brother, in collaboration with officials in East Lampung Regency.
