Megawati Delivers Political Speech At PDIP's 52nd Anniversary Today

JAKARTA The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) today held the 52nd Anniversary celebration at the Lenteng Agung Party School, South Jakarta, Friday, January 10, 2025.

The Chairperson of the PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, is scheduled to deliver her political speech at the event which starts at 13.30 WIB. In addition to speeches, the series of events will include cultural arts and are closed with the tradition of cutting cones.

"The event started at 13.30 WIB with the Party protocol. As usual, culture became an important part with the appearance of cultural arts, then continued with a political speech by the General Chairperson, and ended with cutting the cone as a symbol of the celebration of PDIP's 52nd Anniversary," said Secretary General of the PDIP DPP, Hasto Kristiyanto, Friday morning.

PDIP Anniversary this time carries the theme Sityam Eva Jayatedan SubtemaApi Perjuangan Nan Tak Kunjung Padam. According to Hasto, this event is an opening series of anniversary commemorations that will last until next June, with various agendas ranging from cultural activities, tourist village competitions, to strengthening party programs.

In his statement, Hasto emphasized that the event was held simply considering the challenges of the national economy and the dynamics of global geopolitical. However, this warning will still be followed online by all cadres, sympathizers, and party ranks at various levels, including members of the legislature and regional heads.

"This series of anniversary activities is also a consolidation of the party towards the Party Congress which will be held this year. The congress will schedule the re-construction of Megawati Soekarnoputri as Chairperson of the PDI-P for the 2025-2030 term of service, in accordance with the recommendations of the National Working Meeting V," said Hasto.

As a form of gratitude, PDIP will also distribute cones to the community around party offices throughout Indonesia. Hasto added that the PDIP anniversary is a reflection momentum for the party's long journey to face various political dynamics and historical challenges.

"PDIP thanks the Indonesian people for the trust given, so that we are again the winners of the 2024 Legislative Election. With determination and confidence, we will continue to move forward with the people," concluded Hasto.
