BMKG forecaster Kania Mustikawati said the majority of major cities on the island of Sumatra have the potential to experience rain, starting from light rain in Banda Aceh, Padang, Tanjung Pinang, Pekanbaru, Pangkal Pinang, Palembang, and Bengkulu.

BMKG also predicts thunderstorms have the potential to occur in Kupang and light rain in Denpasar and Mataram for the regions of Bali and Nusa Tenggara.

In the Kalimantan Island area, Kania mentioned the possibility of light rain in Pontianak, Palangkaraya, and Banjarmasin. Then rain with moderate intensity in Samarinda and rain accompanied by lightning in the Tanjung Selor area.

Meanwhile, on the island of Sulawesi, all provincial capitals are predicted to experience rain today, including light rain in Kendari, Makassar, and Gorontalo. Then rain accompanied by lightning that can occur in Mamuju, Palu and Manado.
